TWIDDLE MUFFS

People with dementia often have restless hands and like to have something to keep their hands occupied. Twiddle muffs provide a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation and at the same time keeping hands snug and warm. Visual stimulation for people who have Alzheimer's can involve light , color, shape or motion, or a combination of those elements. When speaking of contract between the colours, Blues are generally noted to have a calming and restfull effect Green is associated with growth and life; Red increase brain wave activity and can stimulate the production of adrenalin into the blood stream; Violet it does not seem to have consistent effects on mood or the nervous system; Orange It is a relatively new colour, appearing in the European language only in the tenth or eleventh century. Being a warm colour it is closely related to red and shares some of its properties It is also an earth-base colour and like green, it often produces associations with nature and natural environments.

Hope you enjoy it!
